Aldo and CettiAldo and Cetti, a husband and wife team, are your hosts at Il Cappero – Cape Town’s acclaimed Italian restaurant. Aldo is originally from Rome and gives all guests a warm welcome while Cetti, originally from Palermo, is the chef and mistress of the kitchen. Even though Cetti’s English is not as good as Aldo’s, her food speaks for itself, tasty Italian food with a strong Sicilian influence. The name Il Cappero refers to the caper which is one of the main ingredients in a lot of Sicilian recipes.

A warm ambience is created by the lilac and cream painted walls decorated with beautiful aerial shots of South Africa and Italy. A great selection of carefully chosen wines – both of South African and Italian origin - compliments the menu ranging from traditional pasta dishes to meat or fish creations.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of South Africa’s mother city, not far from Cape Town’s business district and in walking distance to many tourist attractions. Il Cappero is for everyone who enjoys a relaxed atmosphere paired with quality Italian food.

New Opening Times:
Breakfast is served Tuesday to Sunday from 08h00 till 11h00.
Lunch is served on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 12h00 till 14h30.
Dinner is served Tuesday to Saturday from 18h00 till late.
The Restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings and Monday all day.
